Enrollment growth in the
region is predominantly Latino.

- Latino enrollment has increased by nearly 600,000 since
1993.
- Anglo enrollment has declined by almost 80,000.
- Asian/Pacific Islander enrollment has increased by about
30,000.
- African American enrollment has increased by
approximately 27,000.
- American Indian enrollment as remained relatively
constant.
