All law school applicants must register for and take the Law School
Admission Test (LSAT), administered by the Law School Admission
Council (LSAC
or Law Services), and register with the Law School Data Assembly
Service (LSDAS). Registration for the LSAT and LSDAS can be done
separately or concurrently; the same form is used for both. Two
copies of the registration form are included in each Law Services
Information Book, available from the CDO, Leo Flynn, or from:

Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
The LSAT is offered four times each year (October, December, February,
and June) at more than one hundred examination centers around the
world. It is strongly recommended that applicants take the test
by October (or December, at the latest) of the calendar year prior
to the year in which admission is sought. For example, applicants
to a university's first-year class of 2003 should take the LSAT
by October or December 2002. Applicants who submit scores from the
February 2003 test may hinder their chances of admission.
The LSAT should be retaken only if an applicant believes that his
or her performance can be improved substantially. If the test is
taken more than once, all scores, including the average, are considered.
Registration with Law School Data Assembly
Service (LSDAS)
Your LSDAS registration directs the CDO to compile a number of
LSDAS reports to be sent, upon request, to the law schools to which
you apply. LSDAS reports include an undergraduate academic summary,
all LSAT scores and writing samples, and copies of all American
or Canadian transcripts submitted to LSDAS.
Transcripts
Candidates must submit transcripts to LSDAS from every undergraduate
college or university they have attended in the United States and
Canada. These transcripts must be requested by the applicant and
sent directly from all undergraduate institutions to:
LSDAS
Box 2000-M
661 Penn Street
Newtown, PA 18940-0993
LSDAS will summarize the transcripts and send a summary report,
as well as copies of all transcripts, to each law school to which
application is made.
As a general matter, LSDAS will not process foreign transcripts.
Official transcripts of all undergraduate work done outside the
United States and Canada must be requested by the applicant and
sent directly from the foreign college or university to the Law
Office in question.
Applicants who have completed graduate work in the United States
or Canada must request official graduate school transcripts. These
transcripts must be sent directly from the graduate institution
either to the Law School or to LSDAS.
All admitted applicants who intend to matriculate at a university's
law school must request an official final transcript from Pomona.
This final transcript must show the award of a bachelors degree
and must be sent directly from Pomona to the law school's admissions
office in question. Transcripts sent to LSDAS and reproduced in
the LSDAS report cannot be used as proof of college graduation.
